Disable BB Code for the "Registered Users" group?

    Hi

Is it possible to disable all the BB Code for the "Registered Users" usergroup, so the BB Code is available for Admins/Mods only? We want this to be the setting for all forums/channels.

We are using the vbulletin 5.1.10

Did you ever get this figured out? Preferably I would like to just remove the unwanted parts, but disabling it is acceptable as well. I've set all of the permissions for the "registered users" to not allow uploads or links, but it still shows the option.

      BBCode is a per-forum option.

What matters with BBCode is not what the person posting types, but what the person reading the post sees. You couldn't stop a user from simply typing out BBCode if he or she wanted to. They don't have to use the buttons in the editor.

I don't mind BBcode being there, I just want to disable or hide the img/file attach/upload part so that it doesn't show at all. Right now it still shows, but attempting to upload or attach a file results in a "invalid file" error. I don't know if it will say that for all files or not and it makes me a little nervous. So i'm certain I understand your response, removing/disabling that from showing is not possible?

If the user doesn't have permissions to upload attachments the upload will always show an error. The fast the button displays is basically a bug but there is no workaround at this time. The bug is in the tracking system: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-12673

Thank you for the information. Though 2 years seems like an awfully long time for there to still be no fix for it.
