Critical Error We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please check back in 24 hours.

Hello I can't get in my Admincp cause of this error, Critical Error

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please check back in 24 hours.
I did a support ticket last night and still waiting on reply for it , I done the tool.php and read some of the same problems that others were having but it still not working. this is a fresh install on a old database from previous VBBulletin. I think from ver 4.10 never had a problem on that database until now. There's some major bugs with 5 and some what sorry I got it yesterday. I really like to get this fix if not get my money back,.. I have done what I can to get his going even with my host company with install the database twice thinking there was a problem but that is fine if some one can really help me with this Ill be grateful for it
    thanks

The solution is there in the error message.

          Code:
Unexpected error, post count is negative! If you do not want to see this exception, turn debug mode off. [COLOR=#FF0000]This issue is usually fixed by running AdminCP > Maintenance > General Update Tools > "Rebuild Topic Information", followed by "Rebuild Forum Information", then clearing the system cache (order matters)[/COLOR]. Please see VBV-14784 for more details. If a specific action has triggered this exception (ex. deleting a node), please create a JIRA with the details.

Did you try using the tools.php file? You can create an administrator account with that tool if need be. If you can't access the admincp with that file you have a different problem.

well if no other suggestions you could try what i mention, shouldnt take too long and could help u learn more about the issue if nothing else...i imagine using the same software together would be better, tho i cant say exactly why or that its necessary

did you change the url or any other changes when u brought it back up?

You have to use the tools.php file and then remove the file from the server or it will lock you out of the admincp.

Which tool(s) did you specifically use?

You need to use the tools.php file to create an administrator account so you can access admincp and then to follow the steps Glen provided in post #6
