French language selected but emails are sent in English

    Hello,

I've got this issue since I've migrated to vB5.

The language by default is "French", but all emails sent are using strings in English.
I've checked the strings and they are correctly translated in French.

I've reinstalled many times this language without any effect.

What could I do? Any ideas?

Try reimporting the master language (put the site into debug mode first, this needs to be done in both config files, instructions HERE).

      Hello Mark,

Thanks for the tip, but I cannot found the master language in the vbulletin member area.
Does anyone knows where is this package?

      Thanks

It's in the install folder...you will need to download it from the member area.

Reupload all the *.xml files in the install directory. Then upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory. Then reimport the vbulletin-language.xml file. Immediately remove tools.php when you are done.

I have the same problem with Swedish language. I dont understand exactly what to do in my case. Is Swedish the master language? Or is it the english language version I should reinstall?

I think I figured it out so I comment myself here.
Master Language is a file included in the install folder in the install files. And as I understand it, it includes XML-tagging that it is the Master language. So when I installed it in the language part of the adminCP, even though I choosed English it seems like it updated the Master language anyway. Despite this my error did not go away.

There is actually a Bug report on this:

          Vote for:

          - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
          - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)
