How enable terms of use during registration?

I remember in previous versions of VB that there was a standard forums terms of use that users had to check that they agreed to prior to registering.

How do I enable this in 5.1.9?

    Thanks!

It is already at the bottom of the registration form.

There is a checkbox in the Registration page that says "I have read and agreed to the site's terms and rules". The "terms and rules" is a link and opens the terms and rules in a modal dialog box. You can customize the text by updating the site_terms_and_rules phrase id in the Phrase Manager.

Ok, but what is the url for that? The link properties just go to /forums/register but I need the real url of the Terms and Rules because I need to link it in my sites privacy policy.

It doesn't actually have a link you normally would. It loads in via Javascript. To change the link, you would need to edit the phrase - i_have_read_agree_terms

Maybe you also want to consider adding an entry to the help menu via AdminCP > Help > Add New Help Item and name it for example "Terms and Rules". There you insert your terms and rules text and then you have an entry you can link to. This would be similar to the Forum Rules entry you can find here on vbulletin.com.
