Signature Image Maximum not working

No I don't mean the [IMG]-tag image.

I've set the following settings:
Signature Image Maximum Width: 500
Signature Image Maximum Height: 100
Signature Image Maximum File-size: 100000

These settings don't seem to work. I'm able to upload and use a 228604 bytes, 1500x400 pixels, PNG image.

I'm on vB 5.1.9.

I know this thread is 1,5 years old, but the problem is still not fixed? I´ve the same trouble with Signature image restriction. max width / max height not working. Checked it with clean V 5.2.5 and 5.2.6 test installations. Any news here?

Any updates would be in the tracker entry, so no it isn't fixed.

The reality is that resources are finite, so everything is prioritised, and that issue is not seen as a priority at the moment.

Votes are one of several factors that influence priority, and it presently doesn't have many.
