Caching on forum home page - shows deleted content

Hi,

I'm having issues with caching on the home page of my forum - http://davenportlaroche.com/forums/

I've adjusted the settings so that there is minimal caching and the post pages are fine - they reflect the true posts, dates etc however the forum home page displays cached data including a post that I deleted about 18 hours ago!

Are there separate cache settings for the home page?

Any help is appreciated.

It is probably displaying the deleted post only to you, as you have permissions so to see deleted posts.

Log in as a normal user and the chances are it won't be there

Hi Mark, thanks for the speedy response.

I've checked the page using a browser not before used to access this site (in fact on a machine not used to access this site before, just to be sure no local caching is occurring) and the deleted post does appear. I've backdated the timestamps of the posts too, and these show the updated dates on the post pages, but the home page displays the old dates.

Any ideas?

I said you need to login as a different user (an ordinary member). Nothing to do with local caching or different browsers.

I'm not logged in at all. If you go to http://davenportlaroche.com/forums/ do you see a post under 'Shipping Containers' by dpadmin?

Any ideas why my forum home page is caching the content? Does the home page have separate cache settings from the rest of the site?

Try AdminCP / Maintenance / General Update Tools / Rebuild Search Index / Click here to empty search index

Then Try AdminCP / Maintenance / General Update Tools / Rebuild Search Index / Rebuild Search Index

Then Try AdminCP / Maintenance / Clear System Cache

It's actually Rebuild Forum Information and Rebuild Topic Information that will clear that issue.

There is caching in vBulletin 5, not all of it is controllable by settings.

Hi In Omnibus thanks for the tips.

Unfortunately the content on the home page still doesn't update with the correct timestamps.

The 'Latest Topics' module on the home page displays the correct content, as does the 'Latest Activity' tab - it's the 'Forums' tab that I can't get to update (see screenshot below)

(Fyi - I've manually added forum posts from another platform and am backdating them - only the home page doesn't show the updated timestamps)

Anything else I could try? I have access to the database - are there any caching tables I can manually clear?

Mark, that's fixed the issue of deleted content showing on the home page so definite progress

The timestamps however are still fixed to when the posts were added...
