    Disable Blog

    Hi All,

I would like to know how do i disable the Blog / Article function within Vb.
I did try to choose to deny all within the channel permissions.

That denied access. What i would like is to disable any appearence of the Blog / Article.
It appeared within the menu bar.

    Thanks in advance

As far as I know you can't disable Blogs/Articles completely. However you can restrain access and make the links in the navigation bar disappear for certain usergroups (e.g. everyone except the admin). Take a look at Site Builder. There you can edit the navigation bar.

Thanks TLMD, ill have a look at it.

What i am looking for is to disable the view from members & non members. Having the blog displayed to the admin user is fine.

I just checked Site Builder. Here you can set permissions for the items in the navigation bar:
Site Builder > Navigation Bar > [Main Navigation Bar: Click on the pencil next to Blogs/Groups etc.] > [Under 'User Groups'] Edit

There you can deselect all or make the item visible for the admin only. Same with any other item.

Channel Permissions can be edited under
AdminCP > Channel Management > Channel Permissions
