Spacing between forums

Hi, this is probably a dumb question. I've been using vBulletin 4 since 2011, and I've just decided to migrate my community to Vb Cloud. I'm asking the question here because I'm pretty sure that this question is solved the same way between VB Cloud and version 5.X. The origin of the problem is probably me not knowing the right wording in english (I'm french).

So, here goes. I'm trying to reduce or simply eliminate the spacing between each of my forums. Here's a sample of my forum list. Notice the large grey gap between all of them, which I'm sure is quite stylish in some way, but takes way too much space. How do I get rid of that? Is it a style modification, or simply that I'm using the improper forum categories?

The grey gaps are caused by categories. Actually these are categories, which are set up under AdminCP > Channel Management > Channel Manager. If you want to remove these, do not place your forums/channels under a category, but make them parent itself.
