Why user is now online in green - when the user is offline?

Hi All,

When I look at the footer of the forum:

There are currently 2 online users. 1 members and 1 guests.

I'm the administrator, and I'm the 'online' user.

I'm looking into a regular user's profile and also into a thread, and I see the little green dot saying: "user is online now" .

This is showing for a test user I created 3 days ago, and it is definitely not online.
why is it showing in green?
