Attachment of ZIP file error - 'Error Uploading Image'

    Hello,

I have seen this posted a few times but none were resolved that I could find.

I am trying to upload a zip file on our forum, which is 27MB in size.
I have changed the attachment permissions so zip up to 100MB is allowed, and I am an Admin and have no limit set for total attachments that I can see.
    But I get this image:

Name:	ErrorImage.png
Views:	384
Size:	8.3 KB
ID:	4305852

I have tried all sorts of things, but this just comes up all the time. Its not even an image!

Please I need a resolution to this.

    Regards
    Attached Files
    James

Image Processing is set to be GD.

If set to ImageMagick it doesnt even let me attach some of the formats which we have dictated to be valid attachment formats.
    Whats with that?
Why is the Image Processing affecting the file types which can be attached, especially when the files being attached are not images.

    Something strange is going on.

    Please I need a response.

Thank you for contacting vBulletin Support. Most servers do not support uploading files that large via HTTP. In addition to the vB settings, the allowed size of the attachments depends on the PHP and MySQL configuration. You may need to check and change the upload size for both PHP and for MySQL. Note, you'll need to have root access to the server to do this (or have your host do it.) Make these changes to php.ini

        upload_max_filesize = xM

..and my.cnf (or my.ini for Windows systems)

        set-variable=max_allowed_packet=xM

Change it to the size ('x') you want in Megabytes. Restart the webserver and MySQL after making these changes.

Note: You may also need to increase the max_execution_time and max_input_time variables in php.ini.

In the future, start with the support ticket. Create a forum topic and a support ticket just doubles work for everyone and requires extra time to handle things. Since you have paid support, that should be your first route for assistance.

Thanks Wayne, ill take a look

However it doesnt really explain why the Image Processors are affecting file types that are uploaded.
Why are they affecting files like .ino etc when Image Magick is selected, but OK with GD.

Problem with support tickets is it helps no one else.
At least having the answer on a forum might prevent the next person from having to post a ticket as they can search and find it, possibly.

Anyway, will take a look at this and see if I can figure it out.
Really dont want to have to restart the server though, I hope that isnt required. Could cause all sorts of issues.
