May Be a Dumb Question... How to install the 5.1.5 update?

I currently have 5.0.5 and downloaded the update for 5.1.5, but am now at a loss for what to do to get the update installed. Its been a little over a year since I have done any admin work, and I feel a little dumb / noob for even asking. I read through the "quick start manual" in the folder but did not see any instructions for installing the files.
I have PHP 5.4.34 and SQL 5.5.41-37.0-log site is www.RideorRot.com
What do I do now? Do I log into the server and just replace all the files with the new ones?

Currently Sitebuilder seems to no longer exist when I log in as admin, hoping the update will fix this. When I update will that wipe out all the current settings, threads, channels, styles, members, etc?

I'd start with the documentation, that is covering how to upgrade vB.

    The (very) short version:
    • Make a backup of your database.
    • Copy the files from the 5.1.5 archive to your installation and if prompted, overwrite all files.
    • Run /core/install/upgrade.php and follow the instructions.
    • After the upgrade, delete the /core/install folder.

Currently Sitebuilder seems to no longer exist when I log in as admin, hoping the update will fix this.
I never heard of that issue. Maybe it is gone after the upgrade.

When I update will that wipe out all the current settings, threads, channels, styles, members, etc?
No, except the style: If you run a heavy customized style, there might be problems with future versions of vB, but that does not happen if you just changed a few colors here and there via CSS.

      1. Backup your database

      2. Upload the 5.1.5 files to the server.

      3. Run /core/install/upgrade.php

      4. When complete, delete the /core/install folder from the server.
