Fulltext boolean search - Sphinx?

We upgraded from vB3.8 where search text enclosed in quotes were possible like, "Mobile Suite now available!". This returned only topics containing the exact phrase "Mobile Suite now available!". Our search type is DB Search now and this is not possible. Is Sphinx the only option to get this working as in 3.8?

Is Sphinx the way to go? Does anybody have any suggestions?

Searching for "Mobile Suite now available" is not a boolean search. It is a natural language search. This is no longer supported. What is supported now is boolean searches by default. Natural Language search is not something Sphinx Search will add.
