    VB 5 fresh install - style/url issue

    Fresh install of VB 5.1.5

    PHPInfo: http://
    Main site: http://
    Installation DIR: root
    Installation path: /var/www/html

    Issue

The installation went through without issue, although as you can see I have no styles and /admincp/ throws up an "index of" with two folders inside.

However, /core/admincp works flawlessley and when I click the "Site homepage link" it takes my to .org/core instead of .org??

    Troubleshooting
    - Site root URL and core URL set properly
    - no other .htaccess files existed, all files have been uploaded twice
    - mod_rewrite is installed (see phpinfo)
    - Tried converting templates to files

Seems like url redirection might not be working, or there's a miss configuration somewhere, however the forum and core URL's are set properly.

check your Hosting / Server for requirements of vBulletin 5.1.5 (Read requirements details provided in the downloaded vbulletin zip file) and then install it again. as far as i can assume there is something missing on your server which makes vbulletin not to get installed proply.

You have not uploaded the required rewrite files for your server or your server is not configured for URL rewrite. This is required for vBulletin 5.

If you are using Apache it needs to be configured for Allow Overrides set to All and the included .htaccess file uploaded.

If you're using IIS from Microsoft, you must have the URL Rewrite module from the IIS.net website installed and upload the included web.config file for your forum root.

If you're using NGINX, you must integrate the vhosts file included into the do_not_upload folder into your server configuration.

We do not officially support Lighttpd at this time.

There are a lesser set of permissions that work, you may wish to look into that.

You can also move the htaccess rules into the vhost itself alternatively.
