    Downgrade from Vbulletin 5 connect

    Hi,

Have tested vBulletin 5 connect for more than a week now and can't use it. Extremely slow forum and too many bugs.

So my question is if there is any guide on how to downgrade to earlier version of vBulletin?

    Best regards,
    Daniel

You can't and we've never supported downgrading. If you upgraded from an earlier version then you'll need to restore the backup of your database from before the upgrade, if it was a new installation, you will need to delete the database and install an earlier version from scratch.

You need a db backup of your previous vB4 or vB3 install. If you don't have or if you installed vB5 new without any data there is no way.

Thanks for your replies. I see, I have no option than to stick with it now. So, to make the best out of worst, is there any way to make Vbulletin 5 faster? I've also tried vBulletin demo site which is also very slow and tried my own installation on 2 different hosts - with same result.

Keep upgrading to newer releases as they come out.
