Sub Forum Module

How can I add a Sub-Forum module to a page that doesn't have the Sub-Forum module? I have noticed that some forum pages have the module and some don't. I have also noticed that the Sub-Forum module is not available in Site Builder to add to a page. Can someone provide the code to create a custom Sub-Forum Module?

There isn't a sub-forum module. Sub-forums either show when they exist or you can use a search module to display sub-forums somewhere else on the page.

Don't do it with a string, create a search module and pick the sub forum along with any other criteria you fancy - date range is the most obvious one that springs to mind.
