Why have my posts started adding URL tags around links

My old links were working fine but now they look like this

    Chain Reaction Cycles [URL="http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=2698&id=117986"]www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=2698&id=117986[/URL="http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=2698&id=117986"]
Good for just about anything including swim and running gear
FREE delivery on all orders over $99

Also how do I get into a proper html editor instead of the advanced editor so i can paste in affiliate banners without using the add image dialogue box?

Check Channel Management > Forum Manager > edit Forum > Allow BBCode > Yes

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Okay Allow BBCode was set to Yes.

I tried setting BBCode to No and all it did was make the same problem appear on the bold text as well eg Bold text

How about in Usergroup Manager > edit usergroup > Allow Link BB Code ? And then check Channel Permissions > find forum > edit usergroup > Allow Link BB Code?

Usergroup Manager > edit usergroup > Allow Link BB Code (this was already set to yes)

Channel Permissions > forum (checked both forum and selected forum) > edit usergroup (only looked in admin as that is what i am and there are no other usergroups anyway) > Allow Link BB Code? (this didn't exist.

Something that really bugs me is this did work fine. Then these stupid tags started appearing. Why???

            In here:
Channel Permissions > forum (checked both forum and selected forum) > edit usergroup

Check for Can Create Link > Yes

              So in

Channel Management > Channel Permissions > Forum

              And

Channel Management > Channel Permissions > Main Saveroos Forum

"Check for Can Create Link" is set to YES in every place I looked

Interestingly on this older post the old link works as it should and the new post it doesn't

One more thing. This may have started happening immediately after I used the Advanced Editor to "Wrap HTML tags around selected text".

Somehow this setting might have persisted ... (or not, you guys are the experts).

Make sure you are using the latest release and then put in a ticket explaining the problem with links to examples and admincp access and we can check your settings. If it's a bug, it will have to be entered into Jira.

I have the same problem when using IE9. When using a different browser, everything is working normally,
