Does VB 5 have the facility to auto generate announcements to individuals who haven't joined any groups in an allotted time period or a given number of posts?

Announcements can only be shown based on the criteria in the Announcement Module when you edit it via SiteBuilder

It is actually a no... You can do what you want with Notices in the AdminCP. There is a variety of criteria you can apply to have them show. I would suggest using either notices or announcements though. Using both can get confusing.

I recommend the notices system. I've actually filed a JIRA a while back to combine notices and announcements. Announcements worked differently in 4.x so it made sense to have two systems. However with the changes in vBulletin 5, it no longer makes sense to keep the systems separate.

Got it. JIRA is looking rather populated. I put a few things in myself but in the last few weeks there has been no visible response.

By the way, thanks to the person responsible for clearing the typo error from the title of this thread. I am currently using my android device and have to keep resizing the screen. (pain) Ho ho, forum runner might help but everytime I go to download, I get the message ' not available in this country'.
Nevermind, I will switch countries next week, may have better luck there.
