Two ./forum/forum instead of one /forum in URL

How can I remove one of the "forum" directories from my URL? One is more than enough...

    You can't. It's deliberate.

One of them is the folder you have installed vBulletin into. The other is the content type.

    /forum/forum - The forum channel
    /forum/blogs - The blogs channel
    /forum/articles - The articles channel

    Etc.

Yes if you install it in the root then you will only get one /forum, which is the content type.

If you install it in a folder called /forum, then you will get /forum/forum.

I have tried renaming the channel FORUM to GT and its still the same.
I have also renamed "Główne" to "Start" and the URL is still the same http://granturismo.pl/forum/forum/główne rather than http://granturismo.pl/forum/forum/start
but then the channel is renamed so I hoped for http://granturismo.pl/forum/gt/start in the end
Clearing the cache or reindexing the topics and categories didnt help update the URLs....

Is it at least possible to update to http://granturismo.pl/forum/forum/start since getting rid of forum is not possible...? or is it?

Not a good idea to rename the default channels like that. You will only cause problems.

There's nothing you can do at this time to change the default URL structure.

Can you gus come up with a URL generator/editor feature that will allow users to change their URL structure and names per categories? Wordpress and Drupal have a such feature so it would be nice if VB5 had it too. It would be great if you could add this feature to the next VB5 update.
