Multiple Testing Environment + One Live Site

How does vB detects my license? I now installed Beta 20 on a subdomain. I never being prompted with license key dialog or whatsoever (only Customer Number - during installation).

How can I achieve by having vB5 (when Gold version released) and vB4 in testing environment, and also another vB5 (when Gold version released) as live site altogether?

    Thank you.

If it didn't ask for your customer ID on install then one of two things happened. 1) You had a pre-existing cookie authorizing you for that domain already. 2) vBulletin is configured to be in debug mode.

You're allowed a single test installation of the software under the terms of the license agreement. For best results and to make sure we don't flag it as a pirated install, it should be in a /testvb directory and be closed to the public via .htaccess or equivalent.
