Public (Joinable) Custom Usergroups

It seems like it's been over three years since this problem has been brought to light. What's the hold up on getting it corrected? The fact that the VB5 admin CP supports this functionality but that there's no way for members to join a group is absolutely absurd. -
The only chance to get this implemented is voting in the JIRA entry linked above to get attention from higher forces.Leave a comment:

This entire interface is missing from vBulletin 5 even though the Public (Joinable) Usergroup functionality is available in the Admin CP. This interface needs to be added as a Tab on the end-user's setting page.Leave a comment:

The issue to get this resolved is here: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-6358
So far it has received no comments, votes or watchers. Until it does, items with higher visibility will be fixed and implemented.Leave a comment:

Where is the link in vBulletin for users to join these usergroups? I can't find the area where this is located. Also, is there a way to enable another usergroup to approve the requests for this a certain public usergroup (Not having access to AdminCP).
Thanks.

Could be running into a bug which is fixed in Beta 20. If you try again after this is released and let us know if you're having the same issues.Leave a comment:
