How will attached inline images be handled?

If I upgrade my vB4 forum to vB5 how will the inline [attach] codes be handled? Are we going to have a new bbcode for inline attachments? I assume something like [filedata]1234[/filedate] will be used.

They're still attachments as far as users are concerned. I don't see why the bbcode would change.

When we upgrade from vB4 to vB5 the attachments are reindexed. So in the pagetext you would have:

      [attach ]12345[/attach ]

but the attachment number 12345 was an old id. What would differentiate that from a new [attach ] code? That's why I think they will use another code like [filedata ] to be able to tell the difference between vB4 and vB5 attachments.

I don't believe attachments have actually been converted in the system, assuming you're coming from vB4. I'll have to ask.

I'm very curious how this will be handled.
