No, you will have to upgrade the forum. However things have changed drastically in vb 5 so you will have to perform the upgrade in a different way than the traditional upgrade process. There is a guide floating around on the subject.

Something to note, vb 5 is still in beta stage and as such it would be better to not be used on a live site until it reaches the final stage. However, should you proceed anyway with the upgrade, make a full backup of your db and forum files too.

Or you can make a duplicate of your live forum to a test forum and upgrade that first to see how things will go.

Im only doing it to see how it will look like.
And to get a better feeling on how to customise and run the new version.

Im depending on the CMS module too, so I guess there is a long wait before I can go over to vB5 Live.

No... ImpEX is not an upgrade tool. You need to run the vBulletin 5 Upgrade Script included with the software.
