Posts awaiting moderation not showing up in my messages area

So I just found a ton of posts across my site that say "Unapproved". I thought they were supposed to show up in my messages area under "Moderation"? This area currently shows empty, but there ARE posts awaiting moderation.

Sorry.. shouldn't have said a ton. I've found 5 posts so far that are in an "unapproved" status. I am set as a site administrator and a super-moderator.

Unapproved posts should show, although when were they posted? Do they date back to before you upgraded to vB5?

I am also aware there's a bug in 5.1.2 concerning posts going to the moderation queue, though that relates more to being unable to make the posts in the first place.

There's never been anything BUT VB5 installed on the site. It was a fresh install. In this case, we just have some posts that are showing unapproved in the thread but not showing up in the moderator's message center.
