The Messages badge on the top header is displaying the count of messages even after clicking on it that displays the list of notifications. How do we auto-delete notifications once the list is viewed and reduce the database size - without having to delete each notification by the user? Viewed should eliminate it - just like an email client.

With the exception of PMs, notifications need to be manually deleted/dismissed by the user.
The effect on database size is absolutely miniscule.MARK.B

So I have 3 message notifications. Likes and replies to posts I made. How come I can't mark them as read, and my only option is to delete? Maybe I just want to check back later to see what someone wrote... -
