Online 'Dot' not the same as 'Whos Online' - Why?

Hello,

On our forum, the Dot you get at the bottom left of each post to show that users online status, is often showing online when the user is not online, and it does not reflect what the 'Whos Online' at the bottom of the home page, shows.

The Whos Online listing appears to be correct, and the online Dot is almost never correct.

Just wondering what might cause this and how we get that working right?

I posted stating I could replicate the issue and that therefore it might be a bug and would need to be tested to verify this.
Not sure what's vague about that.

It will depend on how the elements are cached. We're working on the Online User routines and modules to make them more consistent. Currently this is planned for 5.1.4. So unless something drastic comes up, you can look for changes then.
