  • Empty Response when posting a reply in only one topic

    Multiple users have confirmed an "Empty Response" error pop up box when trying to post in one particular topic. When attempting to reply a second time, it says "This message is a duplicate of another post made in the last 5 minutes".

    One user reported this as an error and not being able to post, although now I can see his post under that thread. This is where the problem occurs.

    http://sportbikemovement.ca/forum/do...service-manual
    1. vBulletin Version -> 5.1.1
    2. PHP Version -> 5.4.28
    3. MySQL Version -> 5.6.16
    4. Any Addons installed -> no add ons installed
    5. Does the issue occur in a default style? -> it is a default style, with some slight modifications to the search bar location and logo sizing
    6. Does the issue occur using the English language provided? -> yes
    7. Error message on the screen' - please see above
    8. Browser and Browser version used. -> My attempt was from a MacBook running os X 10.9.2 and latest version of Safari browser, another user tried to post it from a mobile interface on an iPhone.
    9. A list of steps that can be used to recreate the issue. -> If someone requires it I can set up a test account for you to attempt to post something there. Sebastiano Vasselatti wanted a admin account and debug mode turned on from config.phps but he's offline now for a while and also i read in config.php that you should never turn on debug mode on a live site so I wanted to try another option.

    Can you replicate this issue yourself with your own account, and also with a test account in the same usergroup as the affected user?

      yes same thing happens with my account and a test account in the same usergroup as the other person who reported this problem. what's weird is that it seems like it goes through anyway, i got an e-mail for a new post in that topic, and after a refresh the post shows(from the test account and the affected user account), but from my account it doesn't seem to actually post the reply only gives me the empty response error

        We're going to need the debug mode output for this...it's fine to enable it for a few minutes while you replicate the error and obtain the output.

            We're going to need the debug output to troubleshoot this.

              it seems like that error got sorted out, i don't know why but i have a feeling it went away once I increased the max memory for php.
