Private Message "Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page"

When users try to send a private message they see the page
    New Message
Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page

Private messaging is set on, the user group has permission to create pm. They can read old messages, but can't answer or create new ones. Results in this pageview above.
Administrators can create Messages, all other user groups can't.
    Where is the mistake??

Best to raise a support ticket, we will need to see your permissions. Please include admincp login details, plus details for an ordinary user who experiences the issue.

Same issue here, however not even Administrators can create messages.
I have raised a support ticket.
Would be nice to post the fix here so people reading know the answer.

I experienced this error too - the way I resolved it?

I disabled add-on's I had recently installed, it came down to one mod - User Tagging by Dragon Byte Technologies.

I disabled it and raised a ticket on their website, they resolved it by changing someone in the FTP (they had all info and quickly fixed the problem)

Now I have working User Tagging system and a working forum!

          Hope this helps!

          Dan

Still waiting for someone to answer my support ticket...
Is it just me or does it sometimes take days to get support tickets looked at, even if the estimated time stated 1-3 hours generally?

            Regards
            James

Instead of responding to previously closed tickets, you should open a new ticket for each issue you're having. This allows tickets to be handled by whoever is available instead of waiting for one person to become available and handle the ticket.

I was not aware the ticket was 'closed'.
It is one I have used with Mark for a few issues.
I have replied to your message in the Ticket.

                  Fixed.
For anyone looking - for us it was the 'Special' Permission Group. This was enabled for the appropriate User Groups and PM's started working.

                  Thanks Mark.
