Can we use facebook without useing facebook login ?

I set my Facebook appid and secret. Activated the Facebook module and checked no in Facebook login. Everything else is set to yes.
My user can set a Facebook ID in the user profile page and even get the usual confirmation to allow submitting from the forum.

Now, they don't see any publish to Facebook nor i can see à Facebook ID in the user table... only a fbjoindate.

What am i missing ?
