I swear I am not a moron, and I've done this before with vB4. I am just not seeing where to add additional superadmins. This is the message my non-super-admins get in the Administrator Permissions tab:
Except, the file config.php does not exist in "includes." It exists in "includes/vb5" and it doesn't have a section for superadmins at all. In fact it doesn't have much at all except some function definitions.
So obviously the help text is wrong... does anyone know where the proper file to edit is? Or do I need to manually add this section or this file?
Sorry, you are not allowed to edit administrator permissions.
If you think you should have permission to access this page, you will need to edit the $config['SpecialUsers']['superadmins'] variable in the includes/config.php file.
To allow the administrators to access this page, edit the variable to include the user IDs of those administrators should have access, separating each user ID with a comma, like this:
$config['SpecialUsers']['superadmins'] = '1,25,57';
To allow only a single administrator to access this page, simply add that user's ID with no commas, like this:
$config['SpecialUsers']['superadmins'] = '1';
