    Database backup in adminCP

Is there a place in AdminCP in 5.0.5 to back up the sql database?

No... You need to use the tools provided by your webhosting provider to perform backups. They are often more reliable and efficient.

      Thanks much Wayne!

FYI, I did not get an email notification of your reply even though I subscribed to this post. Are there any other settings for getting reply notices?

That is a known bug, which will be addressed in vB 5.1.1:

Thanks TLMD. I visited the VBV-10533 and left some comments. How difficult would it be to switch back to VB 4.2.2 from 5.0.5? Would all the structure pages and posts and threads be saved?

            It would be very difficult.
You cannot switch back from vB5 to vB4 on a simple way.
Importing your vB5 to another forum software then importing it to vB4 is the way to do it.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

There are only 2 ways to get back to vB4:
              1. Since there is no "downgrade-tool" available, you can import vB5 to a third forum software and then import that installation back to vB4. (This is what beishe8 already said.)
              2. The other possibility is to use a backup of your vB4 database (if available). This of course will make you lose all posts/users etc. that were created after that backup was made.
