No... You need to use the tools provided by your webhosting provider to perform backups. They are often more reliable and efficient.Translations provided by Google.

Thanks TLMD. I visited the VBV-10533 and left some comments. How difficult would it be to switch back to VB 4.2.2 from 5.0.5? Would all the structure pages and posts and threads be saved?Comment

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...Comment

- Since there is no "downgrade-tool" available, you can import vB5 to a third forum software and then import that installation back to vB4. (This is what beishe8 already said.)
- The other possibility is to use a backup of your vB4 database (if available). This of course will make you lose all posts/users etc. that were created after that backup was made.
