Multiple issues with new version - is patch release coming soon?

I hate to post such a broad ranging thread but my users are having a wide array of difficulties with the latest release. Here are some common complaints: (1) must log in repeatedly or cannot stay logged in (2) when entering text, the cursor drops to the end of the string repeatedly, preventing editing in-line, (3) buttons the are visible but don't do anything.

1. Cookie or cache problem, make sure they check remember me
2. Probably a bug report about this, I'd suggest checking the bug tracker.
3. You'll need to be more specific.

Each update of 5.x fixes additional issues. The next release is set to be 5.1.0 but there is no specific date of release available yet. There are no scheduled patched before this release- generally they are only released in response to security issues.
