    Sharing a database ?

I have a forum running VB4.2.2 which I am thinking of converting to VB5. however I don't have enough data to test VB5 properly. Is is possible to install VB5 in a sub directory and use the same database as the one ,my VB 4.2.2 live install is using ?

No. The vB5 installation process would change the format of your database so that it doesn't work with 4.2.2. You would want to install on a copy of your live database.

It's ok, just make a copy of your 4.2.2 database and use it for vBulletin 5.0 upgrade.

vBulletin allows you Unlimited "testing" websites.

Testing websites are those that are not in public and will be only accessed by you.

The license allows for one test site which must be blocked from public access.
