I have installed a fresh version of the newest forum. I double checked the permissions of the attachment folder, it is correct. I double checked that uploads work fine using the upload in Diagnostics. I cleared the cache and tried different browsers. I checked suspect file versions. I'm running out of things to try. Avatars work fine, attachments have broken links. http://forums.houston86.com Any other ideas?

Speaking of attachments, maybe my recent issues with images can help. See my recent post here: Attachment Permissions. -
When I upload an image and go to insert it into the post the code pasted is as followed: "[ ATTACH=CONFIG]n4[/ATTACH]"Comment

I'm loving this response time. Cmon, any clues? I've been googling for a while and all I can find are threads like this where the stuff is just broke and no one knows what's going on. Is it a php problem?Comment

The lack of support on here is disgusting. Is your attachment system database or file? Go to the admin panel then settings then attachment settings and try moving them to database if it's set to file. If it's database then I don't know what's wrong. If it's set to file then the issue would be with the permissions of the folder attachments are stored in (/attachdir I think)Comment

What file types are you trying? If just images, try something else. If that works then you have the same problem as me!Comment

Same problem as me then. Make sure you have GD2 enabled (it's a PHP extension) and ideally Imagemagick support tooComment

Are you on a VPS? Or do you have proper shell access (or terminal)?
If you do, what operating system does your server run? E.g. DebianComment

Code:/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
