I just realized something...am I supposed to delete the CORE AND INSTALL folder after installation, or just the INSTALL folder?

Just install. Whatever you do, do NOT delete the entire core folder......bad things will happen.MARK.B

Ok thank you, lol. That's what I did. However, when I tried accessing the AdminCP, the page could not be found, so I had to add "core/admincp" to the ADMINCPDIR in BOTH of the config.php files in order for it to appear correctly when I click on the ADMINCP button in Site Builder. So I fixed that link.
The other link problem I have is my homepage. If I go to www.thelovesociety.org I see the directory, lol. I don't see the forums page. Any tips on this would help me greatly!Comment

Check your URLs are correct in the admin cp, and check the htaccess file is in place. The admincp should not have core in its URL, something is amiss to be causing this.MARK.B

Hmm, ok. The AdminCP URLs, look right. I only have http://www.thelovesociety.org/forums in two fields and http://www.thelovesociety.org/forums/core in the field that asks for the core directory.
Does that look right? The core is inside the forums folder? Thanks for the help, I will look into this further to find out why my links aren't working. I think I will have to uninstall and reinstall everything again. I also have two admincp folders, one inside the forums folder and another inside the core. I'm getting confused.Last edited by digitalSite; Sun 6 Oct '13, 7:49am.Comment

Do I have to create a new .htaccess file? Right now, the only one I have is the one that came with vB and it is inside the forums folder.
http://www.thelovesociety.org/forums/admincp - When I go to this dir all I see is the img and js folders. NOTE: I renamed my admincp so you can't go to this exact link.Last edited by digitalSite; Sun 6 Oct '13, 8:28am.Comment

Hi
Renaming AdminCP doesn't currently work in vB5, it needs to be at the default location /admincp.
