Can't change Styles or Templates

I finally got VB installed, just trying to work out the basics.
My problem is nothing works in Styles & Templates.

If I click Style Manager, all I get is this message..

That action could not be completed. Please try again, and if this occurs again please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message.

and anything else in there like download/upload styles, same thing.

So is there something I can do to make it work for me?
everything else in the Control Panel works, it's just Styles & Templates.

Are you sure your installation finished without any errors? You say that you "finally got vB installed", which seems like you had trouble with that?

I paid to have it installed so no idea.

Can you respond to the installer/upgraders ticket and let them know there are issues.

How do I do that? where do I get a ticket?
