Changing my background

Folks, what file do I need to edit in order to change the background of my page? It's currently using the standard, default grey background and I'd like to spruce it up a bit using Fireworks.

Definitely new to vBulletin, so I'm sure this is a beginner question - still poking around in all of the directory files. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Also, how do I change the background of the navigation bar to a specific color code? I don't find the color wheel under the "edit page" option too intuitive. If someone could point me to the right files I'd appreciate that as well. Thanks.

You will find everything you need in your AdminCP under Styles & Templates > Style Manager. There create a new style and edit the variables directly.

For the navigation bar, the variables you want to have a look at are e.g.
header_tab_background
header_tab_background_hover
header_tabbar_background

For the default grey background, have a look at
body_background
