Translating vBulletin5 to danish. Remains of an vB3 translation.

If you really want to start from scratch, why don't you go to core/install/vbulletin-language.xml and translate phrase by phrase?

But isent it easier to manage the phrases from admincp.

You should start from scratch, in all likelihood. Phrases have change drasticly.

I think this has a lot to do with personal preference. I like to edit the XML file. This also helps when it comes down to comparison of two different language files (e.g. the file from vB 5.0.3 and vB 5.0.4), because I prefer to have a look at every line to see what has changed. Depending on the software you use, you can also highlight changes visually.

But I also know of others who work with addons that help with translation. Maybe you should try both methods and decide later, which is the best for you.

Okay but back to the question, how am i sure that there is no remains of old translated phrases? As it is now it looks like there is somthing from an old translation. Notice the edit/delete in two of the rows in the first image. If i click edit on the upper one i get to a page where I see something that seems to have been translated but, its not in the textarea for the danish translation (see second image).
