Hi, I was using vBulletin 4 with aMemeber, I upgraded to vBulletin 5 and I am using the latest aMember plugin but there is one thing that doesn't work the login/register links in vBulletin 5. There is no way to change these links from plugin as I can see. Can any one give me some details as to where and how I could manually edit these links in the vBulletin styles/templates. The other functionality of plugin is working correctly: 1. aMember add/remove users from vBulletin on signup/expiration. 2. user is logged in to vBulletin after login into aMember and vice versa. Thanks in advance!

Any support for aMember has to come from their website. We've don't support this third-party addon.Translations provided by Google.

Hi Wayne,
I've already spoke with aMember support and they have been very helpful.
What I am asking is:
"Can any one give me some details as to where and how I could manually edit these links in the vBulletin styles/templates."
Where the login and register links go to so I can redirect them to the appropriate aMember location.
Thanks!Comment

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)
If you do that, then I believe you will find the Login links in the template "header" Is that what you were looking for?
Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

Hi,
OK, In the Style Manager there is:
login Templates
login_form
login redirect
the login_form seems to be called in the header here:
<li class="username-container h-right">
<span id="lnkLoginSignupMenu">{vbhrase login_or_sign_up}</span>
<ul>
<li id="idLoginIframeContainer">
{vb:set currentUrl, {vb:raw baseurl}}
{vb:strcat currentUrl, {vb:raw page.url}}
<iframe id="idLoginIframe" src="{vb:raw baseurl_login}/auth/login-form" ></iframe>
</li>
Not sure where I should be editing it. I tried to set the {vbhrase login_or_sign_up} to go to aMember login but was unsuccessful.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.Comment

Hi
I'm afraid we are unable to provide support for modified code.
You would need to seek advice from aMember, or ask on vbulletin.org.

Hi Mark,
The aMember part works fine. It is the vbulletin code I am asking about. In version 5 you took the hooks out that were in previous version. I would think vbulletin would want to work with 3rd party addons, especially ones that worked with it previous versions. My questions are not that hard for anyone that is familiar with vbulletin. As a customer I'm really disappointed in the response and attitude from this forum. I will try the vbulletin.orgComment
