    Two issues

Hi, two rather serious issues with a forum I admin (thescambaiter.com/forum/)

    1) In the messaging system, the 'widget' on the left which links to the different folders (like inbox) gives the error

An internal error has occurred and the module cannot be displayed. Template: widget_privatemessage_navigation Controller: content_privatemessage Method: fetchSummary Arguments: Array ( ) Errors:

    )

    2) The attachment system is failing - it only seems to work with pictures - upload anything else and the 'attachment' link on the post goes to a blank page. In fact it's blank for some pictures too.

Also something seems to be sending CPU usage through the roof, I'm having to upgrade to VPS just to host this forum properly!

    And issue 3)

When I manually build a sitemap it says
    Processing: ...
    Processing: vbulletin_sitemap_thread_0.xml

But on the same page, underneath, I get an error "That action could not be completed. Please try again, and if this occurs again please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message."

Then when I click next page I get a 404 error. The address that fails to load in the frame when I click 'next page' is http://thescambaiter.com/forum/sitem...dobuildsitemap as sitemap.php doesn't seem to exist.

Thanks for your reply, I can't as it's a shared host (though thanks to the CPU hog that is vB5 I might well have to get a VPS just to host it)

And any idea about the other (first) 2 questions?

Does this "priority forum support" actually exist? I'm beginning to think it's just a pile of cr*p. Where is everyone? So many threads with people waiting for answers

What happened on your site just prior to the error on your messages page? And is everyone getting this error on their messages page or just you? Is there anything in your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host) at the time that you get the error?

Have you checked your Attachment Manager and verified the types of files you are trying to upload are listed there? And did you check Attachment Permissions to verify the users are allowed to use that file type? And is everyone having issues trying to upload files other than images? And, again, is anything in your error_logs when you try to upload them but can't? And what is the exact error the user is given when this happens?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

Nothing happened beforehand, nothing in the error logs to do with that error, and everyone gets them. Seems to be fine after I clear the cache until someone clicks on *anything* in that menu, then the error comes for everyone. The file types are listed, the permissions are fine, everyone else gets these issues and nothing in the error logs on this. The upload appears to go fine, for everyone, but everyone sees blank pages when they click to view the uploaded attachments. The exceptions are the pictures which display fine.

You need to ask your host to increase the max_packet_size, there isn't a work around for caching less data.

All the issues here appear to be fixed, replaced by two major ones in my other thread
