    Calendar Questions

I'd like to create a calendar for my forum users, so they can submit events that everybody can view. In Calendar Manager, I can create a new calendar, but when I try to view it, I get a "That action could not be completed" error.

I also can't seem to create a page that can display a calendar or any calendar events. I'm also not sure how users can create events, as there seems to be no option for doing so.

Is this a feature that isn't yet built out or something? I really want to use this functionality.

The calendar feature is not currently available in vB5, sorry.

It may be added back in a later release.

"May be added back?".....I thought the calendar was a definite for being added back. That's the only reason I'm back on this forum. I came back to see how progress on putting the calendar into vB5 was going.

      Has that now changed?

Any answer to this? "The calendar feature...may be added back in a future release..."

Has that now changed or it it still planned to put the calendar into vB5?

As a newbie to VB5, is this why when I go to Calendar Manager in the AdminCP it just shows a blank frame? Wouldn't it be better to have a notice telling people that the calendar isn't available yet instead of me trawling the forums? I'm on a week old install of VB5 and while it appears common knowledge to the long-term users, it's news to me and to anyone else buying the s/w.

Just a polite heads up, cheers.

Thanks for your feedback. I believe mention of the Calendar in the Admin CP is due to be removed i 5.0.4 to prevent confusion,

As for Mark's wording the reality is until it actually happens anything may change. As far as I know the plan is still to put a Calendar back into VB5 but nothing is set in stone.

The tracker request for the calendar is here- http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-1247 - Suggest you vote for the issue if it matters to you.
