Sitemap path can not be found

I am going crazy with finding the right sitemap settings. What I have done so far:

    1) I create a new folder in my root directory called 'sitemap' and give them 755 permissions (also tried 777).

    2) Then I went to: AdminCP --> XML Sitemap --> rebuild Sitemap --> sitemap options

    3) Where it says "Sitemap File Path" I type: ./sitemap (with . before the slash)

    4) After I click save I get the message: "Error: You did not enter a valid value for this setting."

    5) Building sitemap isn't working

    I tried too:

    ../sitemap
    /sitemap
    sitemap

    /home/httpd/vhosts/my-site.com/httpdocs/sitemap

but none of those work. What am I doing wrong?

    I use vBulletin v. 5.0.1

    Thank's

Still broken. It will be at least VB 5.0.4 before they are all fixed, maybe later. Sitemaps aren't necessary really. I know people like them thinking it helps SEO but I don't believe they do- The search engines can find the URLs of topics just fine.

It's not going to work in VB 5.0.2. It probably won't work in 5.0.3 either.

It still doesn't work in VB 5.0.3
                    Glad I found this thread.

What are the suggestions to work around the problem?
Is anyone using a 3rd party solution?

Follow up with bug reports, if nothing else there is not a proper route for the file.

Anyone having sitemap issues with vB5, check that you have setting correct by following the instructions in THIS post. There's a file attached there, it will tell you the correct path to use if you upload it to the forum root.
