Painless Upgrading?

With the release of VB5Connect 5.0.1, the upgrade cycle begins.

Wordpress has a wonderfully simple one-click upgrade which is pretty much painless (hint!).

I see that the current VB Read Me file does not, in fact, contain instructions for upgrading from one version of VB5 to another, so could anyone explain how this might be done - while - fingers crossed - retaining forum customizations?

The instructions for upgrading in the readme file are valid for upgrading from any version to any other version.

Upload the new files, run the upgrade.php script.

We do recommend creating a database backup before you begin but the upgrade process is pretty painless on minor releases. Once loading the upgrade script in your browser, it is one click.
