Blog HTML Format Upload

Have looked for an answer to this question but couldn't find it:

Am I right in saying that it is not (yet) possible to publish blogs that are submitted in html?

Wordpress' admincp text editor accepts both plain text and html, for example - many of you seasoned WP users probably know exactly what I am talking about here.

If it is already possible with 5.0.0. what may I have overlooked? [ain't working currently, but that's caused by my ignorance rather than anything else...]

I'll be waiting 'patiently' for 5.0.3's release to see whether HTML posting will become possible.. At some point in the next 6 weeks hopefully...?!

There really should be no reason why HTML cannot be used. I am hoping this is the case as my plans are to use blogs as a replacement or substitute for CMS.
