OK...I had vB5 running pretty well. I had implemented APC on the server to help improve performance (it worked well). Everything was going swimmingly for a while...but this afternoon I started getting out of memory errors from PHP. For every single request made.
I've restarted the server, increased the memory available to PHP (to the extent that it sends the whole server into swap), disabled APC, cleared vB's cache (admin CP), and rebuilt forum and topics via the admincp. No luck -- every single request to the forums generates that error.
The out of memory error occurs regardless of the memory given to PHP -- I've increased it to 1GB per request in an attempt to get past the hump and still get the errors. A typical example:
PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2048 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/herogames.com/forums/core/vb/datastore.php on line 156
Any help?
