Need help importing database from vBulletin 4.2.0 to vBulletin 5.0.0

Hi guys, I have been testing and messing around with vB 5.0.0 for awhile now on my test subdomain. What I am not understanding is how are we supposed to import our old database into the new forums? I want to practice importing members, forums, threads and posts so when the time comes to convert my full site over the process will be easier and go better.

    Thanks in advance!

You would just run the upgrade script.

You can set up a private test site behind an htaccess password if you wish.

Thank you Mark, I do not understand what you mean by upgrade script. Would you please inform?

EDIT: I understand through a little research that the upgrade script is located at core/install/upgrade.php, am I to understand this will upgrade my 4.2.0 site perfectly to 5.0.0?

Hmm, yea that turned into a disaster. It seemed to upgrade fine, but its not. Right now my forum looks like a white page with hyperlinks and text down all one side.

        Ideas?

Solved my issue. Forgot that I had set filezilla to ascii mode for something totally unrelated. Re-set it to auto and uploaded all the files and all was good. I still had to clean up a lot of garbage though....
