    cumbersome sub navigation

    Hi,
is it possible to set up the sub navigation that it is always visible?
You always have to click FORUMS to reach the sub navigation. This is very cumbersome.
As long as I move through the forums, the corresponding sub navigation should remain visible.
    Same for Blogs and Groups.
@Mark.B How did you on http://www.talknewsuk.com ? The sub navigation is always visible.

I'm guessing Mark did custom html, or custom navigation elements.

Yes...basically this is a very similar "trick" to what I did with 4.2.

I have edited the header template (in 4.2 it's the navbar template) to effectively override the navigation manager (site builder in 5) so that it no longer controls the sub nav.

I have then used the same css and link style to "fix" the sub nav in place regardless of what page is in view.

In effect it's old skool "hard coding" of the sub nav.

I just personally prefer having a static sub nav that can be accessed from any page...useful if you get "lost", which can happen even on your own site.
