  • Content slider question - how to add a header

    We are trying the content slider in the side bar on the front page of our forum, it works really well but we would like to add a header above it, with a title like in the other modules.

    I've ticked 'show title' = "yes" on the module options but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

    Here is a screenshot of what I mean. Is it possible?

    I believe the option for the title is actually Hide Title and it would be set to NO. Can you double check that?
    I'm pretty sure there is no header background for the content slider, but the title should appear at least.
    -- *Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe*
    -- Ads available for the modules globally
    -- Global modules
    -- Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s)

      Joshua is correct....I have set my content slider to show the title on my demo site, you can see it here:
      https://www.talknewsuk.com
      (The title bars on my modules are transparent so you don't get a 'bar' like you do in the default style)

        Sorry, I wrote it the wrong way round. It is hide title and I have it set to no.

        However, I've just found why it appears not to show - our header backgrounds are green with white text, so the title is there but because it is white text it is not showing on the white background. (If you draw your mouse over it the title will highlight slightly, so that's how I know it is there)

        Just need a way to change background header colour of content slider now.

          Try this css...you may have to play with the padding values a bit.
          This is specific to your site, if anyone else uses this you need to change the widget id to whatever your own content slider is.

          Code:
          /* Content Slider Header */
          #widget_176 .widget-header {
              background: #009900;
              padding: 4px;
              }
          #widget_176 .module-title h1 {
              padding-top: 6px;
              padding-left: 10px;
              }
          /* End Content Slider Header */

              The CSS works perfectly for the large content slider at the bottom of the forum, but has no effect on the side bar one. Do I need to add code for each?

              This is the large one. Perfect, thanks. Small one is still as original screenshot in first post.

                Yes it does. In your browser right click on the title area of the side bar slider. Your browser should have an option like "Inspect Element" or "Inspect" and click on that. You're looking for the widget number of that widget. In the previous code you can see #176. Copy the above code but change 176 to whatever number the sidebar slider widget is assigned in the code.
