  • Problem Creating New Pages On The Navigation Bar

My vbulletin forum currently has the following main pages on the navigation bar: FORUMS, BLOGS, ARTICLES, GROUPS. I wanted to create a few more pages, so I went to the navigation bar and added a new one called "REVIEWS". After saving the changes, the navigation button shows up, but when I click on that new button "REVIEWS" it leads me to a blank page that say "Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message." Why is this happening? I read another thread where it says you should clear the cache in the admincp and I did this and it still doesn't work.

Also, when I go to adminCP and use the channelmanager, I cant see the new "page" that I created called "REVIEWS" in the channelmanager.

What is the proper way to create a new "page" on the navigation bar. I attached a screen shot and you can see that I created two new navigation buttons, but when you click on the buttons it leads to nowhere.

Adding a tab to the navbar does not create a page, only a link to one.

You need to create a new page using Site Builder first.

Thanks Mark B. I also tried that, but then I could not find the page I created. I looked in the vbulletin manual and I cant find the answer... After I create a NEW PAGE and save it, where do I go to make it appear in the navigation bar near FORUMS, BLOGS, ARTICLE, GROUPS? Any help is appreciated.

A quick update. I figured out how to create a new page and then go to the navigation bar and create a new navigation button and link it to the page. But here is the problem. The new page works, but I still don't see it in the channel manager or in the admincp channel manager. I even changed the page's default template to a channel template, but it doesn't show up in channel manager. So my options are limited as to how to add forums to this new page, etc., because its now showing up in the channel manager. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

New pages don't show up in Channel Manager because they are not category or forum channels. And you can't add forums to it like you can to a category/forum. What is exactly you want to do? If you created "Reviews" forum channel in the Channel Manager, then it would show up in the Forums tab on homepage. If you also want to add a link to it in the nav bar, then copy the URL from the link in the Forums tab and then use it in the nav bar.

            Hi Glenn.
            Im trying to do this:

I have 5 forums on the FORUMS HOME PAGE button. I want to create a second different page that is on the main navigation bar (FORUMS, BLOGS, ARTICLES, SECOND DIFFERENT PAGE*) and this new "SECOND PAGE" I want to have DIFFERENT FORUMS. I want to create completely different forums on this "SECOND PAGE".

I created a "SECOND PAGE" on my vbulletin site, but it doesn't show up in the channel manager (you answered why it doesn't do this in your last post). The "Second PAGE" I created, I tried to turn it into a "default forum page template" and it works BUT it keeps showing the forums from the main forum. (I Want a second page with completely different forums that are not linked in any way to any other forums.)

The attached image shows the forums I created on my homepage of my site. Any other new page that I try to create and make into a forum shows the same forums from this page. I just want to different pages with TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FORUMS.

Doing what you want is not possible without a major code change as it was not designed to work that way. Aside from filtering the list of forums into 2 separate list, you also have to filter the Latest Activity and My Subscriptions tabs
