  • Working on the homepage

Hi, I havent used vbulletin for a long time, so I'm still getting to know the new features (and i'm impressed, honestly). I was wondering how do i edit the htaccess file to utilize my "home" page as opposed to the forums.

    Im following this guide: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/artic...stom-home-page

i tried editing the .htaccess by adding the following code at the bottom.

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^pwnsome\.net$
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.pwnsome.net/$1 [R=301,L]
    RewriteRule ^$ dog/home [L]
Well, it didn't take. It kept redirecting out of the /dog directory and into the pwnsome.net root.

    My objects are as follows:
    1. have pwnsome.net/dog have the home tab be its homepage when loaded.
    2. to not have pwnsome.net/ be utilized. The root for vbulletin is on /dog so everything needs to be within that directory.
Thank you very much for helping me out!

The below has helped me out! Thanks Wayne!

Put your custom .htaccess in the root directory of your website. Usually called public_html and the parent of /dog/,

Then open vBulletin's .htaccess and uncomment the rewritebase line and change the path from / to /dog/ .

    Translations provided by Google.
